Banca Boat to Apo Island

Anchor up and off we go on our adventure to Apo Island Marine Sanctuary and Protected Seascape. The ride over to Apo Island can be a little wet from the waves splashing up, so make sure your camera, cell phone etc are wrapped and protected from the water.

The ride over to Apo Island is around 45 minutes, it is a beautiful trip and you have a hard time deciding wether to look back at the coast of Negros with Mount Talinis in the background or if you want to stare out at Apo island trying to make out more and more details as you get closer.

The boatmen on these banca boats for rent over to Apo Island are all locals from Apo, so they scatter once you hit the beach there not to return until you are heading back to Negros in the afternoon, that is not really a problem unless you want to go sailing around the island too, you should arrange that before you leave Malatapay probably, and I could imagine they would charge you extra for a trip around Apo Island too.
