Kids on Apo Island

Apo Island is a great place to bring the kids as well, they wont find a lot of ice cream stores, but they will have a nice white coral beach to play on, and if they know how to swim or if they have lifewests they will be able to join in some of the snorkeling as well. Seeing a kid watch the fish under water is a great experience, most of them love it and can not get enough snorkeling.

for the kids that are not going to snorkle or swim there are a few placaes with very shallow water where they can still play in the water on the beach. They will of course need to be under adult supervision at all times.

If you let your kids out on Apo Island in the baking midday sun, then you must make sure they are properly protected against the sun, a high sun factor waterporrf sun tan lotion is a must. You might also have to remind the kids they need to drink a lot of water to make sure they are not dehydrating, they might be so excited snorkeling or playing on the beach that they forget to drink.

If you go walking on Apo Island with oyur kids, they are sure to find playmetes everywhere, the locals are very friendly and Filipinos love children. This is also a great way to meet locals while your kids play with their kids. You can also bring the kids down to the local school to see how the Apo kids go to school, I am sure they would welcome visitors with open arms there too.
