Especially for idea of using dive trip to Siquijor as transfer to Siquijor. This will save a lot of time for us.
About Cebu/Manila. Note, that we will fly home not from Manila, but from Bangkok with 2-days stopover in Bangkok. This is why we select direct fly from Cebu to Bangkok.
About sharks and other "big things". Funny, but I think that sharks just afraid me

First time when I see sharks (white tip reef shark) was Sipadan island last year
