I am not a diver but I have had friends as well as family staying at Thalatta on several occasions -
Thalatta Beach Resort. They all liked the place and wanted to go back there. They accepted last minute change to reservations without surcharge. It is small, clean and intimate, the food is good (European cook), the staff is friendly, the pool is great. They arrange transport to Apo Island if you want, and other places too. You seem to know the area so you know that the Malatapay market is next door, where Ceres drops you off or picks you up every 15 minutes or so (if you dare). With Ceres you can even get onwards to Sipalay if you like. I have been there and I liked my stay at Takatuka Beach & Dive Resort (also European cook) -
