Evidence of this is the green slime that pervades in high season
Thi si not natural and does not form the white sand there. it is formed by excess phospahates and nitrates in the water which this algae loves
This comes from washing water and sewage.
Alona beach on Bohol also has this problemn albeit at a smaller scale.
If you see lots of this green slimne then don't swi m as it means its high in ecoli and other pollution. Another sign is a kind of matting that you see over the sand and coral. This is formed from s high sedimantation rate also influenced by pollution |
