 Vaccinations
Hi guys, just the subject I wanted to discuss!
OK, years ago I had to get Polio, Tetanus, TB, Malaria, Hepatitis vaccinations before visiting the Philippines. Rabies and Dengue fever are also ripe.
Later, in recent visits, I did not get any vaccinations whatsoever. Am I risking life and limbs? I tend not to get uneccessary risks, I always drink and brush my teeth with bottled water, no ice, protect myself against mosquito bites as much as possible, do not eat any salads or uncooked food, try not to get cut by rusty blades or nails, wash my hands carefully before handling food.....
Yet I'm aware one'll never be 100% protected! What experiences and advices have you got on this matter?
As far as I'm concerned, so far so good, as I tend to spend my time in Dumaguete and surrounding areas without venturing far afield. The only problem I had was Prickly Heat, but that's nothing.......Have I been just bloody lucky so far? |
