I am also thinking about the possibilities of owning some type of boat, sail or powered for the same reasons, all that water and the many uses for it. When I question asawa ko about boats in Dumaguete she told me to have a dugout built for me. To start that would probably not be a bad idea and I would definitely get a workout with it. At first I would mainly use it for fishing and diving but as I get more settled I would consider something larger to have an alternate means of transportation to get around the islands. I am sure though there are a lot of implications of where it would have to be docked or questions like do land owners on the beach have the right to build private docks to be investigated. I would guess more research on existing marinas in the PI would be a good place to start. |
