Don't stay at Olmans View Resort (BOHOL)

This is to inform everybody who is planning to take a vacation in Bohol to please DON'T STAY AT OLMANS VIEW RESORT..... i have a bad experience in this resort last May 2008. we booked in this resort coz we find it very amazing in their website... OLMANSVIEW.COM.. the pictures posted are so deceiving...when we arrived there, the receptionist asked us to pay the full amount of our accommodation...where in the hell can you find such a resort like that??? we were so disappointed...definitely not an ideal place to stay when you're on vacation...plus, poor services...its just like an ordinary place...my companion w/ his family arrived there a day before and booked a room w/ a kitchen for 3,500/day. they found out upon checking in that the stove doesn't work coz there's no LPG! My GOSH!!! they should have prepared the place knowing that there's already a booking ahead of time...after an hour of stay, we planned to go to the beach since the resort is still 30-minute ride from the beach....we were then planning to transfer to another resort since it was not really the place to be and besides, the owner doesn't care about their guests...we have complaints but the owner seemed not interested and didn't face us personally to address them.... we transferred on that day but she wouldn't refund us. we are willing to pay for an hour of stay. we paid P 5,100 for 2-rooms plus extra beds.... maybe she needed the money for some reason but i could say that she has no conscience for guests like us who hardly earned that money for us to relax from stressful work.... we didn't get a single cent from that resort... we are not refunded but in time, they will still pay in other ways...what they did is not fair.... i don’t want anybody to experience what we went through w/ Olmans View...please share my experience to all your friends....this is my only way to spread my disappointment...

Thank’s for the information, but to be fair of the resort I don’t know if it’s good in this forum that just a newcomer the intro..is posting bad reports of a certain resort.Well I’m not defending, what I mean it’s very commonly happened that each resorts attacking each other in some hotels /resorts reviews pretending they are customers . (that’s why I’m so skeptical of some reviews)Your post have a big impact or damage of the resort coz this website viewed everyday hundreds of people who maybe like to have a holiday in bohol .
Ok, yabs is reporting about a certain bad resort in bohol, well we knew him for a long time.The dane, rhoody…reporting restaurants ,hotels, that we have to be aware of…we are so thankful of them , because we knew them and we knew their purposed

Very true what daffs mentions.
It's good to get this kind of information so we are warned for a bad experience.
But when coming from people we don't know yet, it's also dangerous coz it could well be personal vendettas between competitors or enemies.

Welcome to this forum Tetma, but shouldn't it be wiser to tell first a little bit of yourself.

Paying the total in advance I never do,unless I know the resort/hotel/etc. from previous good performances by myself or others, or when the price to be payed is that low that I can't get a headache.

thanks for your comments... i cant blame you for having some doubts about my post... it was my personal bad experience w/ my family and i just want to make others be aware of my experience. i am not pretending-to-be-a-customer here...i am indeed a victim here...no..no..no...i dont ask you to sympathize me but im still hoping you got a good info about my post...you may understand what i felt when you get to experience same situation. i am sorry, maybe i just joined a wrong forum...btw, im tetma from cagayan de oro.

Tetma, you did NOT join the wrong forum.
We all want good info about this kind of things because a lot of us do visit once in a while our surrounding area and Bohol is certainly one of that places.
Once again ....it was just because it was your FIRST post.
Don't feel bad about our comments. Your experience was already bad enough .

Bohol is a great place to visit with...a lot of resorts to choose from... we're just unlucky to pick one which left us so disappointed...i didn't suggest not to visit this place...Bohol is really awesome! chocohills, rivercruise, falls, dolphine-watching, swiiming, & a lot more...you just have to choose a nice place to stay where your planned vacation will not be pissed off.... i will spend another vacation in Bohol in the future but NOT with OLMANS VIEW...never again!!!...i also hope you understand how i felt.

Tetma, thanks for the heads-up on that resort. We're going to Bohol again with some Australian friends in a couple months and will likely stay at old reliable Bohol Beach Club....Any info is helpful on the forum...even Yabs whinging about Polaris (we've been there, last time two years ago - and the food was great -even the pizza night was fantastic - but it was done by one of the Filipinos - Franz was on Cebu) but if things have taken a dive we welcome the update...

Feel free to tell us the good things about CDO too! Have run into a couple happy retirees there....

welcome to the forum tetma. i agree with jellyfish.. and garbonzo.. and thanks for awaring us about that resort you said. i never been in bohol and i wish when i have chance to visit bohol i dont have same experience as you had. and even in other place too....nobody want bad experience. and its real bad when we expect a good things to happen and nice place but then when we are already there its opposite in what we expect...

Can recommend B B Club at around 4300 peso's for twin en suite choice of pools restaurants and white sand beach.Next door is an open grill bar with freshly caught fish on the menu quite reasonable (blue Merlin superb)
