    Cool Forest Camp

When my gf and I visited Forest Camp, in Bohol we noticed a small white house being constructed, has anyones else been there and seen it ? More importantly can anyone tell me who built it how much it was and when can i get one built !!??
Rather stupidly we didn't think about getting the details while we were there, even though we asked no one knew anything about it.

Pics can be found here to jog your memory or see what i am talking about

Jim! Why do you say strange? Surely any Forest Camp Houses, Cabins or Shops etc any where, will be made of Wood, it is the theme. Certainly is in Valencia. Just curious that's all.

Jack, thought wooden house's in a tropical climate might attract wood mites or what ever, and be extremely hot. My in-law's was made of wood, you could bake a pizza inside.

Jim! this might surprise you, BUT a majority of House here are Timber framed. Timber is cheap and therefore obtainable. Termites accepted but a fact never the less. look around the city, especially the back streets, an eye opener it really is. Brick faced hide an awful lot.

    Exclamation Concrete or Wood

Is wood that much hotter in the summer than concrete, surely its all abot ventilation?
For me its down to costs, Wood is cheap and easy to obtain and work, concrete more expensive, however longer construction periods.

Personally, i am just looking to build something quick and easy, like the Little White house but with more windows. For me its not how long it lasts (i am just looking for 15 years at most,) its about building somewhere with my wife, for the minimum costs rather than wasting my money renting. Duma is the obvious choice, it has all i need and more. And also if i get a lot of land, I would hope within the next 15 years i can sell it for profit, well hopefully !!
