Default Dive Sites Dumaguete

For those interested, here are the dive-sites of the Dauin Area, the names might be a bit different from Dive-shop to dive-shop.

Honor to the guy who deserves it, Penn, a member of the scubaboard, who allowed me to use the map. I just modified it a bit as there were some dive-sites missing

cheers

Rhoody

The dive sites are all marine sanctuaries of different sizes, all can be done by shore entry. It is amazing how this protected areas aer "working" as you will find outside the areas not much more than sand and as soon you dive inside you are in an aquarium.
the distance between Ducomi and Maajong Tubig is roughly 15 KM
A few more info about the Dumaguete area here and here

cheers

nice map
When I go over to Negros, I usually dive Apo. I have done the car wreck (wasnt it parts of a multicab?) and the east sanctuary. It was nice where there was coral coverage, but it was mostly barren sandy bottom. We made artificial reefs in an area with a similar bottom composition on the SW coast of Florida and they are doing very well 25 years later.
What do you think are the best dives there? I like to see corals or interesting macro ... there was a bit on the vehicles and the corals were ok in the sanctuary, but much of my tank was burned travelling in low quality areas.
