Who are the top three recommended diving instructors around Dumaguete? I want to get open water certified. Thanks

Me, myself and maybe Rhoody....

there are many good instructors in Dumaguete and the surrounding area, Everybody has to follow the same outlines anyway. If you are comfortable in the water you will not have any problems with anyone.
Some are not really patient as they loose money if spending too much time with one student to make him overcome a problem. You will still get certified, even with problems in some skills...

It also comes down if you need the comfort of a resort with changing room shower available, or you can go from Dumaguete to the trainings-sites and back...

just some points to consider

cheers

Rhoody

Sure, could you send me a price list? And does it include all the fees, rental equipment, book, certificate, etc? What certification do you have, PADI or otherwise? Thanks

Open Water diver is 16.000 including rental equipment, marine sanctuary fees, crewpack (book, dive-planner,log-book, cert-fee). I am a VDST and PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, but teach PADI here in the PI .The schedule is quite flexible and can be arranged to your convinience...
If you are in Duma we can meet and talk about it...

cheers

I highly recommend you contact Rhoody and spend some time with him. Please take him out and have a few beers and get to know him; watch out though because he's German and knows his way around a bar. What you will find is that not only have you found a dive instructor but you will have made a friend. Every peso i spent at Mikes Dive Shop and with Rhoody for my dive lessons (and bar hops) was absolutely worth it. Read my comments in the thread posted about Mike and Rhoody.

Good luck and enjoy Dumaguete!

I have been on quite a few dives with Rhoody now and I feel very comfortable diving with him (Unless I am hung over and feed the fish - but that is not really Rhoodys fault)

i'm feel so proud to my self that i can breath under water like a fish... till im back surface the smile on my face is still there.. and the
moment that i cant forget.. my 1st dive, with Rhoody in small la laguna beach in Puerto Galera September 8 2003.. another world, a new world for me... peaceful, awesome veiw, and lovely creature that i never see when not diving....
i feel so great,.... i feel im special,.... because not all people can dive, and have chance to dive.. not like me at that moment
