Default Aussie loses 4M pesos in Dgte Business

Negros Chronicle: August 05, 2012 issue - Negros Chronicle - community newspaper in Dumaguete and Negros Oriental

Tough for a foreigner to do business in Dumaguete. Sad story how this guy apparently lost 4M opening Lost Tribes.

Read this story when it came out, as it was a reply to a previous article in the same paper. It seems that his decision to go ahead with the business was based on verbal assurances instead of written legal proof and documentary evidence.

Losing 4M is a bummer, but that's the risk you take if you go in to business here with your eyes wide shut.

Its a crying shame, i really loved going there, as was gutted to find it shut one day.
It would of been a nice resturant, even without the music . . heart felt sorri . .

Sounds like this Generoso is a real opportunist. Lesson learned is if you want to do business that bad, make everyone produce the permits and licenses. And then double check.

Compared to what? Germany? China? Ghana? Sh*t happens anywhere, any prudent businessmen would have taken this into account.
