ops what a slip?, Woman can be pretty clever concerning computers I have know many a female whiz kid. But i expect you would be lost in a mobile phone club, yes what would the men do there, while the girls show their two finger expertise, lol
There are loads of girls taking B.Sc. in computing in the Philippines and have achieved a B.Sc degree.

I have had many years experience in Information technology and for a short while taught computer science, programming and modern office skills.

The girls can be very good at such things many of my female students went on to University after finishing college to obtain a degree in a computer related subject. Yes more men than women are computer literate or qualified and many are interested in learning about computer skills here in the Philippines. I have taught a few over the past few years.

When you pass an internet shop count the women customers, lol

Sorry! I must reluctantly decline your (previously) kind offer and find something else to do with my Wednesday evening.

It really is a shame. A computer club would have filled a small void in my life. Something which I miss from Ottawa, where I belonged to a very active, informed and useful one.

I sincerely do hope that I have judged the situation incorrectly. Your initial offer, I'm sure a well intended one, did contain that fatal faux pas. None of the intervening posts has addressed that adequately.

The present display of hostile attitude makes me realize, with sorrow, that I would not feel comfortable in joining you. Nor would my wife . . . . . . .

No thanks I have been down that avenue, there is simply no way to make millions on the internet at least not now days. I have made my money working hard at programming and program development it was not millions. Just money earned by long hours and dedication to projects. I already run websites and I write about IT amongst other things. I spent 5 years trying to make myself a millionaire with a brilliant piece of software that tied all financial transactions and did away with data entry personnel.

It was all to do with placing super code at the bottom of invoices, credit notes etc and software platforms for accounting software for invoices and credit notes etc to be scanned in. The UK DTI hated the idea and I then realized why it would but millions of people out of work. lol

The problem is you can come up with an idea, build the software and there are hidden complications such as above or as what happened on two occasions some one with more money than me pinched the idea.

No I have no big ego, lost it along time ago, reality see to that. I have run and belonged computer clubs back in the 1980's. Seemingly most of them died out with the internet and forums etc, ect.

Can not really see it get off or lasting for long but of course who knows in the Philippines. Wish you the best but I stay away from million of dollar get rich things and do my computer related things for nothing. I have enough money to enjoy life like a king in the Philippines and really have no wish to come out of early retirement. At the moment I am working on website or two with an idea of helping people for nothing, I already fix expats computers at no charge for my services other than the parts or software of which they buy locally.

I really wish you well with your million dollar idea and hope it comes into fruitation as the Filipino's need new business and new sources of employment. But if I was you keep what your doing to you and only those whom need to know.

By the way only those selling internet marketing ideas make the money.

Haha, you guys are cracking me up. Geez, Franko can't say anything right in this thread can he?

I'm pretty sure a Filipina attending this thing would rather talk to other Filipina's in their native language than pretend they understand me when I'm talking about something techical. I know a girl here studying electrical engineering but she can barley understand me when I talk about basic subjects, let alone anything with jargon involved.

As for getting rich, I understand what he is doing, and it will actually do better than get you rich. It will make you a bit of extra spending cash. Some don't have to worry about money, I imagine most do.

I make 100% of my money over the internet but it's a service trading my hours for their dollars.

By the way, not sure I will be able to make it. I'm horribly busy now that all my clients and colleagues have emerged from the holiday season hibernation. I will do my best though.

I make money too last year it was 7000 peso's into my pay pal account, wow just for writing and commenting. I have a balance of $US 50 and I feel very rich, lol. Then each day I get inundated with people of whom wish to make me rich with of course internet marketing. lol Thankfully its all in my get rich quick email account in the deleted folder.

Keep your money in your pocket rich quick schemes can be dangerous for your wealth. The internet is full of these schemes one only needs to google "Millionaire" to find out. Then read how the scams are all very similar, I would rather sell goats milk in outer Mongolia, lol
