People bringing up the past. When all said and done I don't think any of us were around 70-100 years ago. Was hoping the subject matter would be " The Earth is but one big country and mankind it's citizen's." Not the World at War. |

| my last word on the subject, cos i know about the great wars, 1 my grand parents fought in it and told me, 2 i read about it, 3 i was taught about it. WW2 was started by the germany wanting living room for germans and hitlers own power trip, the fact that most of the Germans followed him is neither here or there as they were in a shit position and he was a saviour, promising to lead them out of it, they say in the land of the blind, the 1 eyed man is king! i think this fits well with the average german at the time, and i'd also say if i were in the same position with my family, i'd also follow the one eyed man. as for the Iran situation, there's only one reason for this...Bush and bush Daddies little boy doing what daddy started, with some luck, he'll be gone shortly, i'm not saying that'll be an end to it, but a man with credibility, i hope will replace him and base any war decision on actual facts and not some order from daddy. Iran as other nations in the gulf have threatened to blow isreal off the face of the earth, if iran or any other unstable nation in the region goes neclear, well it's good night, however saying that 2 nations with atomic weapons that also hate each other, Pakistan and india ain't blown each other up.... yet! if you'd like to blame Britain for the situation there, you won't get any arguement from me, well unless it's factually incorrect.... PS my family has been involved in every war, britain has ever fought, including the iraq conflicts, what's this tell you? us lancasters don't get on with anyone lol |

| As I suspected, we're not that far off from each other. My grandfather fought in France in WW1 and I watched my father suffer from nightmares about Pearl Harbor in the days before he died in 2002. These conflicts are never the result of one single action but the result of many successive errors and belligerent actions sometimes spreading over many decades and generations. As "citizens of the world" we can say NO.
