Already booked the ticket to leave July 24. Soon I will be back HOME !! in the Philippines. But only a week but it is mostly business. Starting a Bakery the first of my three business.. and looking for more land in Gingoog city or Magsaysay. You sound like you are feeling fine these days I am happy to see it. Horsepower is wonderful and God knows I love to go 1000 miles an hour with my hair on fire. But in Philippines you never know whats next curve. you know how people like to park or stop. even do repairs in the middle of the Highway.

I have never heard anything positive about importing your own motorcycle, in fact it seems to be a nightmare.
The import duty seems to be based on your ability to pay and your very strong desire to get your bike out of customs in the Philippines.
In fact how do you get a job in customs in Manila, seems like a profitable place to work.
Kawasaki now sell a 200 cc bike in the Philippines and I keep hearing that Suzuki will import big bikes.
In this part of the Philippines, Negros, Panay, Cebu a big bike bike is more trouble than its worth, roads or stray dog will get you

Yes, I had been thinking of shipping my bike to Dumaguete, but I heard lots of negative feedbacks... Was also thinking of dismantling the bike here and send the parts through door-to-door, but the hassle is to assemble the bike there, and the registration process... plus, the frame will not fit in a 20x20 box... so, I decided against it and just recently bought a big bike in dgte... at least, it's already there, and registered too... no more worries.

The frame don't need to be limited to a 20"x20" box ... If you use Manila Forwarders in LA, they just charge you by the actual size balikbayan box you have ... The bigger the box, the more you pay.

Should be nice if we get together in P.I. and do a sort of weekend ride... I just did one with my brother in law last 30 May... weekend ride, covered approx 700 miles... we got rained while mobile, and also in the campground... great experience though... Planning of doing a road trip in Dumaguete when I get home... that depends on the hectec sched that I have..
