Default Organization is key

Leave the house locked up. Trusted caretaker/relatives are to clean surroundings and if allowed inside a portion of the house to scare away crawlies, just into a portion of the house. The incidents/reports about maids in cahoots with such and such elements--these can happen anytime. If employing a security guard as well, define the limits as with the limits for the caretakers/relatives. A bit of pessimism on character helps, you know. Temptation is a "cooperative" thing: the tempter and the temptee, and the object. The object does not do anything except sit but it could attract attention without its knowing that. BUT the owner can store it in such a way that its attraction is not accessible. Therefore, as owners, we still play a role in the so-called temptation! Another thing, pay the caretakers/relatives/guards their honorarium regularly. It gives them no excuse to go beyond boundaries. If they do, then they render themselves untouchables---forever. Can't be trusted anymore. So, prevention is better than cure, always.
