Default Receiving vaccinations in the Philippines

Question for you guys...

I need to get hep A and B shots but I have found that they are given in a series over the course of something like a few months. I'm pretty much ready to go right now and I don't want to have to wait another few months just for shots. Do you guys think I would be okay to get vaccinated in the Phils rather than at home?

Its perfectly okay if you get it done in one of the local accredited hospitals and not just any doctor surgery.

You can get the blood test after to check that your protected. However if you are allready infected a injection straight away can protect but if there is a long period from the infection its pretty pointless.

However its a low percentage that end up dying because of infection, however its best to stop drinking to ensure a long life.

So its best to have a blood check first for obvious reason.

Note: people handling food that have hep can pass it on, or it can be sexually transmitted so watch whom you kiss if your not protected. Isn't love grand.

I made sure I was protected before coming here most ex-soldiers recieve the inoculations whilst serving. I had an overdose thats for sure. lol

TB is also rampant here so people need to make sure they are protect against that also.

Default Vaccinations

Hi guys, just the subject I wanted to discuss!
OK, years ago I had to get Polio, Tetanus, TB, Malaria, Hepatitis vaccinations before visiting the Philippines. Rabies and Dengue fever are also ripe.
Later, in recent visits, I did not get any vaccinations whatsoever. Am I risking life and limbs? I tend not to get uneccessary risks, I always drink and brush my teeth with bottled water, no ice, protect myself against mosquito bites as much as possible, do not eat any salads or uncooked food, try not to get cut by rusty blades or nails, wash my hands carefully before handling food.....
Yet I'm aware one'll never be 100% protected! What experiences and advices have you got on this matter?
As far as I'm concerned, so far so good, as I tend to spend my time in Dumaguete and surrounding areas without venturing far afield. The only problem I had was Prickly Heat, but that's nothing.......Have I been just bloody lucky so far?
