Help, advice on the process of selling land
We own a block of land near Dumaguete and we are interested in selling. As we no longer live in Dumaguete, just want to ask for advice on the process of how to go about selling the property. Taxes, agents involved, any recommendation on real estate agent to use etc. At the moment it's a vacant land, over 5000sqm. Thanks
As posted on the other thread;
Has the land been surveyed? Has an extrajudicial settlement been awarded? How many heirs? Was there a will?
We're not sure. We're overseas so makes it a bit difficult. There's a will, we had thought that the name was already transferred, but now not sure & don't know how to check online. We were also told that if name wasn't transferred then we'd have to pay yrly tax from when g'parents passed??? Also can council take land without consulting owner to make a road? Thanks

No, they cannot generally take property to make a road without at least "consulting" the owners, but if the owners whereabouts becomes unknown and taxes are owed, well, yes it may likely be possible.
Hi gmay, have a look at the LRA website, it has a FAQ and Contact section, you may be able to obtain the information you require there. Good Luck
(It played up a little so please persevere. Then go to Home page.)
