Default Hi all

Hi, thought i'd introduce myself, after my rant about helmets, I'm jenny, i've recently moved to Dumaguete and live with my partner, We've just opened Coyotes Bar on the outskirts of town.
We've now been here two months, i love the hot weather, and comming from Manchester in the UK even the rain here is warm!! i even like the rain. Gina is native to Dumaguete, all her family have been fab helping me sort out the setting up of the bar.
I just hope i'll some day get used to the "filippino" way of doing things!!
I'm ex-military, serving from 78 - 90 with REME and 29 Cmdo , where i didn't get to see the world lol Come say hi any time u pass
thanks again to Rhoody who directed me to the site.

Hi Jenny,

welcome to DI. Had a cold beer and a good time at your place. All the best for your plans.
For the members who wonder, Coyotes Bar is former Devlin. I passed there lasty night and had a cold one or two. As I liked the place before I am glad that it opened again.

cheers

Rhoody

Default hi jenny

you really have a great plan of putting a bar just inside the compound of natasha homes and park so we won't be going out to the boulevard and have some cold drinks. we'll surely invite friends to come to your bar, sit and relax feeling the cold fresh atmosphere. Good luck!

arghhhh i typed loads then, only to find when i tried to post it, i had been auto logged out and lost it all, bloody computers!!!

thx for the welcome, my beer prices are cheap, oops CHEAP!!!! there 25 - 35peso, my spirits are even cheaper by comparison i feel, my tipple of JD is only 50 peso if you want coke it'll be almost double!!! strange but true lol

i'm having problems getting a chiller off coke, who seem to think the product can be sold warm??? ice cold coke at the back of your throat???.......not yet!

we don't have a chef yet, so no menu i'm affraid, that'll follow in time i guess, i'm getting used to filippino time, so i can't give you a defo answer!! if one of you that's been here for a while, can give me a convertion factor between european and filippino estimates on time, i could sure use it lol it's the old joke about manyana (manana) and the irish not having a word for that type of urgency lol

oohhh! btw where not officially open yet, cos i've no chiller for the coke, did i mention that already? hahaha but if ur after an ice cold beer, we can accomodate.
The "GRAND"official opening is 18th Oct titled "FLAME" with guys and girls in beach wear type show, fire dancers and drum beaters, all thats being organised by my in-law, Weng, whom used to work there when it was Devlins.

from reading previous posts, i pray to god my grammer was ok in that lot, i'm from UK, we invented the language, don't mean i'm good at it, i'm from manchester.... remember!!!

Well that's great that that venue is open again.
I loved the atmosphere of that place, even when our jamming wasn't that good always, it's a nice environment to stay for some cool ones.
I pass that place nearly 16 times a week, but did not notice that it has new 'owners' again.
You'll see me soon Jenny.
No matter about the missing chiller for the coke ....
Any plans to let us play our favourite music there again ?
Rhoody loves Jambolaya , I do appreciate 10CC (sometimes ) and Kinhason (coming back soon) likes all type of music from South America to torment his percussion instruments.
Somebody recently asked if there was employment for a base-player. I forgot to react. He could join us and we could have fun again.
If the visitors will have the same fun as we....I doubt however

Rhoody is a wild guy and likes the heavy stuff indeed.
He get's a heart attack when he needs to join Jambolaya (you were right, I was joking).
Me a fan of Jambolaya ? No way
But it doesn't hurt me the same way as it hurts dear rocking billy Rhoody
So please don't buy that CD. He's an old guy and still hopes to become someday 60, when at least his beer-consumption can be better controled by him and smoking will be forbidden at all drinking/eating places.

hahahahahaha i deceided to have an outside bar so that i'll never have to stop people smoking, i'm in two minds about soft drinks and coffee lol it's a bar, not a cafe, Rhoody! you drink as much as you want, smoke your head off, i'll do the same, when we die you can be buried in the other speaker i just bought! talk about investment!
