I'd like to tackle a few topics mention by the thread starter (TS)
Philippine road problem??
I never been to other countries so I can't compare, Philippine has many road problem, roads are poor maintained, and the government hasn't really made a long term plan for it, My view is LTO don't have any clue on how to fix the traffics and roads, simply they don't know what to do. You can get a driver's license even if you failed the driver's exam just put money under the table. Jeepneys sometimes stop in the middle of the road to pick up passengers. There are no speed limit! there might be signs but there are very few cops who chase you down if you go over the speed limit. Yes I know its crazy! but mainly it depends where you live in the Philippines. The average Filipino can't even own a car!, so I think the Philippine road problem or traffic jams are a Big City's problem.
Every where I go Volume is full??
There are noisy places and silence places in the Philippines just pick the right spot. If there is funeral beside our house we go silence until the day of the burial ceremony happen. I think that goes for 3 days, no loud music, no shouting, even no laughing out loud. If there is a birthday party at the other house, we understand why they have a loud volume. We don't complain.
People burn stuff everyday?
I had some fun childhood memories, My mother ask me to sweep the backyard leaves under a tree. Then I burn the leaves. Why? to keep the pest away from our Jackfriut tree, so that when I climb it I don't get bitten or stung by some bugs or insect when I get some Jackfriut to eat. I usually do that household chore when the sun is already setting, and me and my friends walk around the fire and play. Honestly it was a great childhood memories. Although we know it is fire so we play cautiously, not so near the fire that you can get yourself burn.
Why do Filipinos keep pigs, rooster, goats, ducks, chickens?
I don't really know why but maybe its because we love animals.

I was born with a family that raises pigs, ducks, chicken, rooster, sometimes goats in our backyard. Its called backyard farming. Average Filipinos cant afford to buy big lands so you cant really blame them. When we slaughter a pig its kinda a social event, regardless of where the pig meat will be use for fiesta's, birthday, etc or to sell, you bet you can see a smile on the faces of people. I remember my Uncle and some adult neighbors would wrangler the pig then tie it up, then the son's and daughter of our neighbors would try to watch with me, then we run away because of the sound of the screaming pig. Then we would play outside. Then our parents would call us then we would have a grilled pork meat to eat, and there are all smiles. We eat all together using our hands, Clean wash hands! sometimes we continue it in the near by beach.. For the Noises of these animals, I have less complain about roosters, because they help me wake up in the morning. I have a little complain about dogs, I think 2 dogs would be enough when you have more than 2, they bark all night(maybe its the dogs social thingy

)...
