Hi James, thanks for being sentimental, I like it because you show emotion and that's good. Yes, here's more poems for you to enjoy. But promise not to cry, ok?

If I Only Knew

If I only knew you were not here to stay
and not leaving me in fantasy,
I could have kissed you more
And hold you closed to my heart.

If I only knew how much you cared for me
And how deep the love you felt for me
I could have told you countless times
That I loved you each day and everyday.

If I only knew you have few days more to live
That your days were numbered due to terminal illness
I could have spent more days with you,
Comfort you by my side.

Talk with you and read your favorite poems
Untill you fall asleep
If I only knew
My regrets... I did not see your sides
How blind could I be?
How could I forgive myself?

I was a widower for 12 years before I met my lovely Philipina!
Is the poem from experience?

Faith Hope Charity and Love

Faith is something I can't explain
It comes with spiritual gain
Hope is something you trust will occur
If you truely believe it will appear
Charity is something we all can share
When help is needed it's always there
Love is something above all else
It's Gods gift so help yourself..........JB
