good reputation for all of you added already

Rhoody, that's inspiring!

You love the sea and this poem is about it.

This is a simple one for your little kids (if they're not grown up yet).

Fish in a Cubic Sea

I have lived life here
In a makeshift water
Imprisoned but free
Inside this clear cubic sea

Tanked but tendered
Beloved, taken cared
Helpless but protected
Admired, appreciated

I have watched in horror
Of my species died with honor
In a festive seafood party
Lying dead in a banquet display

Dead but here each day
Years, millions, my species stay
Here as we’re ought to be
For as long as you take care our sea

Default Friends

Don't walk in front of me,
I may not follow
Don't walk behind me,
I may not lead
Walk beside me; and just be my friend.

Many people will walk in and out of your life,
but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.

Just my two cents.

Yes indeed.

Going towards sixty plus....
Sometimes memory is not a plus
You thought your action is under control
But comes a time you don't follow the rule.

Going through menopause....
Put your lifestyle at times on pause
To dread hot flashes and cold chills
Nothing you can do but "just deal!"

Insignificant other sometimes wonder and ask
"what's wrong with you dear?"
"Let Me Be" I say, ....because tomorrow is another day.

Default Smile

Do you ever smile at people you don't know?
I bet you do
And I'm glad you do
Smile can bring joy to everyone
Smiling without guile
Could be infectious
It could be fictitious.
Once you start to smile
You will be smiling your way.
Smile at people no matter who they are
No matter what their colors are
It would make their day
And it gives you pleasure in return
Smile can bring success in life
To a business entrepreneur
Smile is the essence of all
So head up and face the world with a smile.

Swany... It is inspiring and i don't regret why i always wanted to wear it each day.

I share with that thoughts and here is the one of its kind.

Tears and Smiles

There are tears in every eye
So as smile in every lip

. . . that when tears are shed by
The world on your shoulder lies
If there is pain
Take it,
Learn from it,
and never get an once of regret

. . . that when smile is on your lips
Show it
and feel great,
as if the world rests beneath your feet

Be merry, and count every joy
For it is time to be happy
After which
There are tears in every eye
So as smile in every lip

And tears and smiles
And smiles and tears…

keep it coming...

Default Make a difference

Poetry is what comes from the heart it does not have to rhyme
It can be fun sad romantic etc etc.
heres some words from the mag " Word for Today"
Don't keep score
Clothe yourself with tender hearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Make allowance for each other's faults and forgive anyone who offends you
Because you weren't built to carry the stress that goes with resentment.

I think a few people on the forum would benefit from these wise words
many Blessings to all our members....john

I agree with you john boy.

Poems that rhyme are old school poems. But it is still a poem.
The free verse poetry is the modern poetry. Swany, kyliegriffin, you are on the spotlight for this. Take me as a variation of it… Children like poetry that rhymes and simple. It will inspire them. Poetry of your level are for the highly intellectual people.

I have one that doesn’t rhyme much. I hope this is a poem already…

Thanks for the comment.

Boulevard Afar

The sea meets the desert
Sewed peripheries
With engineering might
Spewed incantation
Shooting charm
To enslave admiration
But to where I’m standin’ on
This familiar shore
Keeps rushing me home

Hi Boom'E'rang, thanks for comment. Yes, I want to get addicted to this kind of stuff 'SMILE". I think it's great to always wear your smile, even during your trials and tribulation. Just like the song "Smile'' by Nat King Cole. First line of the lyric is "Smile though your heart is aching". "Smile even though its breaking"... This is an old song and very inspiring. I just love it.

Hey, Boom 'E' rang, you are a great poetry writer! Why don't you post your poetry in POETRY.COM? That's where I posted mine. Although I've heard a lot of bad things about this site, but i don't mind because it's free. Hope you'll try and visit this site someday

Keep yours coming, too ...
