    To live in the Philippines is to be resilient. Drop just about any American into the Philippines under the resource constraints that most here have to live with and I'm not sure they could do it. Well, they would probably go through a bit of a freaking the **** out stage and then eventually adapt. On the other hand, most people here have a support base and that might be most important for surviving and thriving.
