Default Stormy day in August

A stormy day in August ,this was at Sugar beach. These kids are trying to cross the other side of the rock, going to the exit on another beach .There were some concrete steps built climbing up the rock to cross during high tide ,but this stormy day it's impossible to cross and not get drenched.

You're welcome Cyndi . Uncrowded beaches or near nature has calming effect .I like being in the beach very early morning before sunrise, very soothing or watching the sunset. However i am not by nature an early riser ,but when near a beach i make an effort.

The Sugar beach of Sipalay doesn't speak of the beaches of all Sipalay.Sugar beach got its name perhaps due to its Sugary colour sands ,but wonder why the sugar beach area has more browny sands than the other side of the river, which is bit more lighter but not white.Perhaps has to do with the currents that also bring in eroded soil from rivers ,only a guess. We haven't been to Punta Ballo, this is another resort area of Sipalay far apart from Sugar Beach ,but not too far,one need transport to go there .All pictures posted so far were taken from Sugar beach area .When we were there we felt like the only tourists around ,ofcourse there were few,but you barely see them or cross paths with them ,which is nice when you're the kind that loves space.I suppose, that time of year when there was low season. I wish there's a shorter cut through road to Sipalay from dumaguete rather than going all your way following the south coastal route or going north Bais-Kabankalan -Sipalay.Perhaps can even halve the distance of travel if that ever exist .Looking at the map they could even possibly do the Tanjay-Pamplona- passing inland of Sta Catalina-Sipalay cut through ,maybe someday.Or even using Twin lakes route then around mountains going to Sipalay, must be quite a nice route .Occidental negros had done an amazing project shortcut routes from Murcia running through picturesque mountain terrain splitting either going to Canlaon or San Carlos.Would be nice if Negros Or -Occidental will take this project of dumaguete to Sipalay road , if ever this happens ,Sipalay will be so near dumaguete perhaps even only couple of hours.

Some photos of stormy day at Sugar beach.
