Default Did Pacman's dog enjoy the flight to US ?

While watching the "local" news the other night they showed Pacman and his supporters inside a plane, and the commentary suggested they were heading to America for the title fight.

I was surprised to see a women with a dog among the people (inside the plane). I guess it was a PAL flight.

Does PAL allow dogs inside their planes ?

Does the dog have to have its own seat or can it fly on someone lap ?

Where does the dog do number 2's ?

Would appreciate any answers to these question, thanks.

More important, has the dog been plane trained.

what you basically do is giving the dog the same stuff Manny takes, than you have a good chance that he makes it over the full distance without shi@#$@ his pants ...

Upon entry in the states you reject any kind of tests for the dog as he is scared of needles and if nothing works you file some cases ... as the dog is badly disturbed in his campaign for a political position by such an unimportant event like checking for disease ...

Hi Sid,

Was this the video you saw? (Or at least the same flight?):

Watch this Air Pacquiao video and read the ABS-CBN... - mannypacquiao - Meme

That is a GMA report that I saw on Yahoo Philippines. The coverage is in Tagalog, but I am pretty sure it was a chartered airplane from LA to Dallas/Ft. Worth. (If I misunderstood the Tagalog, anyone should feel free to correct me.)

However, I would imagine that Lucio Tan would waive PAL's pet policy in favor of someone like Pacquiao...just my guess. Now, US Customs/Quarantine might not be so generous. Perhaps the puppy was purchased in the US and lives in their home in LA.

I read on the ABS CBN "ticker" that the "Pacman chartered flight had arrived in the US".

I would have thought even a chartered flight has some restrictions, after all if the dog did "numer ones" it can seep through the cabin floor and damage the planes structure. Thats why they do not allow dogs in the cabin.

Have seen on TV Pacman with "his" dog doing laps around a sports track in the US. Does America have quarantine for animals on arrival ? I know Australian and other countries would have a fit if that happened.

Anyway agree with Rhoody, dose him up !!!

United States (including US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico but not Hawaii)

CDC regulations govern the importation of animals and animal products capable of causing human disease. Pets taken out of the United States are subject upon return, to the same regulations as those entering for the first time.

The CDC does not require general certificates of health for pets for entry into the United States. However, health certificates may be required for entry into some states, or may be required by airlines for pets. You should check with officials in your state of destination and with your airline prior to your travel date.

Proof of Rabies Vaccination:
Dogs must have a certificate showing they have been vaccinated against rabies at least 30 days prior to entry into the United States. These requirements apply equally to service animals such as Seeing Eye dogs.

Cats are not required to have proof of rabies vaccination for importation into the United States. However, some states require vaccination of cats for rabies, so it is a good idea to check with state and local health authorities at your final destination.

Importation of Unvaccinated Dogs
Dogs not accompanied by proof of rabies vaccination, including those that are too young to be vaccinated (i.e. less than 3 months of age), may be admitted if the importer completes a confinement agreement and confines the animal until it is considered adequately vaccinated against rabies (the vaccine is not considered effective until 30 days after the date of vaccination).

Restricted Animals
Monkeys and other nonhuman primates may not be imported as pets under any circumstances. Importation for permitted purposes is strictly controlled through a registration process.
