Beware! Thieves at Villa Marmarine Resort on Siquijor

Just to inform anyone who plans to stay there to be VERY CAREFUL!

This unfortunate incident happend at the 1st night of our stay which is our 2nd time there.
My friends and I lost all of our valueable items and money at Villa Marmarine on the night of Nov. 23, 2008. Three of our hand bags were taken from our room during dinner time.

It is possibly an inside job since it happened at dinner time and the staffs all knew we would be at the resort restaurant. Also, the resort staff had failed to give us the room keys for both times of our visits.

The owner, a Japanese, was in Manila and did not show up for the entire incident. Even if we've asked him to meet us at Manila in person, he didn't show up at all. Only merely sent an email saying that he had other important matters to deal with.

As three foreigners from Taiwan, we were lucky to get help from local authorities and returned home safely.

Be very cautious if you go there!!!
