I lthought this resort was beautiful when we visited last may, I had high hopes of a great meal, I ordered fish and french fries, nothing exotic, my 2 filipino friends ordered other dishes. we were used to eating at labus and why not, so maybe we expected too much, my meal was the worst I have eaten in a long time, fish was cooked in fat at a low temperature and was inedible. in fact I left most of it, my 2 guests ordered some filipino dishes they said it was awful. sorry to be negative maybe it was a bad day relief chef or something, the resort itself is lovely. just to end on a more positive note, we have been to baharra resort many times and the staff, food, and location is lovely.

Default Lots of sea urchins???

Hi Joel and West Coast Hokies ,thanks for sharing these awesome pictures.
Lots of sea urchins? it means the water is crystal clear and clean, like here in Greece, the beaches with a lot of sea urchins and coral reef on it is very clean i once was trying to get rid of the urchins and i bumped to a jellyfish...ouch...

Thanks Chloe!

Joel, That's an awesome sunset you captured.

Eddy, got to agree with you regarding the food wasn't that great, it was ok, and a bit pricey. But we were'nt there for the food, and everything else about the resort was great. Thanks

Default Cool pics!!

First of all, Joel, thanks for the info about parrots getting to live from 50-60 years. Siguro, that parrot in coco grove is still a teenager.
The pics you posted are cool. I especially liked the revolving shot (i need to learn how to do that sometime)...
There was an ethnic dance photo. I don't remember coco grove having any presentation of that sort when we were there?

They have them during peak tourist season, so it depends on when you visit. We also were unfortunate to miss it. The staff members are the performers, and I hear they put on a pretty nice show.

Oh, is that so. Well, I just hope we will get the chance to visit the resort again some other time. Thanks for the input.

Hi, sorry for being late with my answer - I've been away a while.

As West Cost Hookies already told, they have it in peak season and AFAIK once a month only.

Stayed at the grove a few weeks ago, beach was really dirty full of weed and rubbish. I guess they cant do much about that its the wind direction maybe they could have made an effort to clean it a bit!! felt sorry for a couple in the beach side cottages the smell must have been awful. Hired a bike second day and found Kiwi diving resort othere side of the island it was beautiful really clean and the staff were great, really helpful....thanks Eden!!
