| I used to fish at Wuthering heights resort. Yes they allow fishing but you have to bring your own gears and bait. I used cheap Taiwan made gears and shrimps as bait. I only caught one 6 inch fish, locally called timbungan, thats it lolz. Though I've been fighing for several years, I still consider my self an amateur for this hobby. I also fished at Ducomi pier before, daytime and night. It not allowed there anymore. Some fishers could catch squids at night time. They use artificial-baits wooden shrimps with hooks. I'm so envious of their catch. Me and my group,Zero. I think there is no more fish to fish by the beach. Deep sea fishing is the right way. Balustre's method is good but I might not fit on the pump boat he he. Anyway if Balustre comes to Dumaguete again to fish, please make some announcements. I will certainly join you. |

| Can anyone with a bit of knowledge and plenty of patience tell me which fishing gear i should look for when fishing in the Phils? Right now I'm home in the UK but I'll be getting back to Dumaguete by the end of january, and i would like to buy some of the equipment before leaving.....As i'm a BEGINNER, i would ask you to be kind to me and start with which line, hooks, weights, swivels, spools, wire traces....to go for. I have a Shakespeare beach caster rod....any good? What's yours feeling about teleschopic rods? Thanks to all !! |
