There are the upper-class beach resorts as well as guesthouses to suit every budget. Some Dumaguete hotels and resorts are located right in the heart of the city to afford good shopping and nightlife while other Dumaguete hotels and resorts are not actually located in the city proper, but most of the better resorts located outside of the city offer shuttle busses and vans to and from Dumaguete as well as airport pick-up and drop off.
The hotels and resorts located outside of Dumaguete are not far and many find the location outside of the city to be that perfect beach resort experience and worth the little extra travel time. Dauin, for example, is a city located about 20 min from the heart of Dumaguete and is home to some of the best beach resorts in Negros Oriental.
