More than a thousand youngsters are anticipated to participate in three great activities for youth in December 10, according Dumaguete Diocesan Youth Director Reverend Roland Omatang.
Activities include visits to the international shrine of Saint John Bosco, the announcement of the year for the Youth of the diocese and the 25th anniversary of the Commission on Youth.
Young people from various parishes are supposed to welcome international relic of Saint John Bosco to Dumaguete on Friday December 10, the Diocese of Kabankalan in Negros Occidental.
Fr. Omatang understood the visit by the International relic of Saint John Bosco would emphasize the festivity of the Diocesan Youth Day with the theme: Stand firm in faith. Do all your work in the love of reminiscing, celebrating and look for us in the life of Christ.
He invited members of Sanguniang Kabataan to join the celebration, including the different fraternities and sororities in Dumaguete City, to convey the message of Saint John Bosco to young people.
He said that the message of Saint John Bosco is specifically geared to the young.

The Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines has declared December 16, 2010 to December 16, 2011 as the year for young people after the Roman Catholic Church celebrated the year pastor.
The National Commission on Youth will also celebrate its 25 years in youth formations and leadership in the country.
