Saw a thread similar to this from a few years ago, OP then hasn't been here since December so couldn't ask for an update.

My UPS has a 12v 7.0 Ah battery and lasts about 10 minutes in a brownout. I want to replace the battery with a 12v 100-200 Ah battery so I can continue posting or watching a movie or whatever for an hour or two. It looks to me like that is standard solar battery sizing which I know a few here are very current (no pun intended) with.

Where should I look for what brand of battery? Is there a 'sweet spot' in the 100Ah to 200Ah size 12v battery for quality and value (price per Ah)

Try Bernardo's just down from McDonald's (Opposite Lee Plaza & Jollibee) on Perdices Street, I bought my battery there for my Security Black-out Light. They stock batteries and might be able to supply one if you take your old Battery in with you. There is also a Computer Store a couple of doors back towards McDo's who might be able to help you but I doubt it as most here seem to be clueless when searching for parts...

Not just merely replacing the battery in my UPS, replacing the original 7Ah 12v battery with one that has 15 to 30 times the storage capacity. From small motorcycle battery to full size marine battery. The existing battery fits into a small corner of the UPS, I expect the new battery to be at least the same size as the entire UPS if not a little bigger. That's why I brought up Solar storage batteries, same size as a battery in a storage bank, maybe a golf cart battery would work? I am not sure

You shall find the Holy Grail at Robinson's downtown. Go downstairs to the Hardware store and look along the window displays from outside the store. You shall find what you seek as it is surely still there and not found by some other foreigner. And the reason is: It bears a 20,000 pesos price tag.

OK YOU WANT TO REPLACE YOUR SMALL BATTERY WITH A LARGER ONE SO YOU HAVE MORE TIME. THE ONE THING YOU MUST CONSIDER IS WHETHER OR NOT YOUR INVERTER CAN HANDLE THE HEAT LOAD OF AN HOUR OR TWO OF OPERATION. MOST UPS'CANNOT. THEY BURN UP FROM OVER HEATING SO IF YOU WANT TO TRY I SUGGEST YOU INVEST IN A CHARGEABLE FAN SO IT CAN TRY TO COOL DOWN THE INVERTER AND WHEN YOU WIRE THE CIRCUIT FOR THE NEW BATTERY REMEMBER TO PUT AN INLINE FUSE SO THAT IF THE INVERTER SHOULD SHORT OUT IT DOESN'T BLOW UP YOUR BATTERY. I HAVE THOUGHT OF DOING THE SAME THING BUT DECIDED I SHOULD BUY A BETTER INVERTER FOR THAT OPERATION. ALSO REMEMBER THAT A LARGE BATTERY SUCH AS YOU ARE SPEAKING OF IS SIMILAR TO A CAR BATTERY AND IT REQUIRES VENTILATION AND SHOULD BE KEPT AWAY FROM FLAMES SINCE MOST PRODUCE HYDROGEN GAS DURING OPERATION. ALSO THE INVERTER CIRCUIT IS NOT CAPABLE OF CHARGING IT WHEN IT IS LOW, YOU NEED AN AUTOMOTIVE BATTERY CHARGER FOR THAT. TO DO SO WOULD BURN OUT THE CHARGER CIRCUIT. SORRY TO PUT COLD WATER ON A GOOD IDEA. PLEASE FORGIVE THE CAPS BUT I AM HAVING EYE PROBLEMS. CHARD

Ahh yes, right there in front, on the floor, with stuff outside blocking the window, and inside under the lighting fixtures, behind the tables, next to the generators - how did I ever miss them??? 12v 100Ah for p10k, 12v 200Ah for p20k. Now based on other comments above, I need to make sure I won't burn up my UPS running it longer than designed for before I buy (probably would settle for the 100Ah one)...
