by Executive Optical in the Mall. Seems that they have thrown bare rabbit in the brier bush. d*mn that is SOOOO painful. It started on 11/02/17. I went to them to replace my 19 year old proscription glasses. Got the exam and told them to order. After I paid they gave me a sales invoice # 0329 showing that I paid the full amount, signed by the manager and me. In doing so said sales invoice # 0329 became a legal and binding contract. The glasses would be ready for pick-up on or before 11/10/17. On 11/09/17 I stopped in and they told me that they had NOT ORDERED my glasses! They said that they will not order them until I paid an additional 1500.oo. showed then THEIR contract dated and signed on 11/02/17 clearly marked "PAID IN FULL". Now I assure you that 1500 would have made no difference in my monthly budget, or my dissection to get these badly needed proscription glasses. I did take offense to their "breach of their own contract". I took it to "DTI" and through DTI we settled our differences. I assumed that it was over, I should have known better, knowing that they are willing to breach their own contract. Wife was talking to one of their employees last week and she was told that Executive Optical had black listed me and that I was never to inter their business again. When I received that news I almost broke down and cried.
Imagine that, bare fox done threw bare rabbit in the brier bush.
Tomorrow I will pick-up my new proscription glasses from a honest retailer. Nothing like getting black listed from a retailer that breaches their own contracts. Buyer beware!

Did this happen in Dumaguete? Cannot find a listing here for Executive Optical and do not know if it is Robinson’s or City Mall. I did find executive optical in Cebu. Can you be more specific about which store you are talking about?

OK, thanks, yes it does make a difference because we just moved in and take local reviews seriously, ie, we will not use executive optical at Robinsons because of your experience. Thanks for the warning.

    You are welcome.
Glad that some good came of my miss fortune. I hope that Brier Fox learned something about honoring his own contract.
BTW I got 4 other opinions at 4 other Optical shops on the 11 th & 13 th. Turned out that Executive Optical prescription for me was off by a considerable amount. Looks like I wised up and lucked out with those other opinions and got what I needed. I am now wearing a brand new pair of proscription glasses purchased at SANTILLAN OPTICAL CLINIC on Perdices St. Good people to do business with.

You are absolutely correct. It's been about 55 years sense I last read or watched it on Disney. Thanks for correcting this feeble old mind.

I paid it with a VISA card, they wanted me to wait two or more weeks for them to refund. That is what triggered the trip to DTI and an arbitrator. I was really tired of their B.S. by then and let them off by just returning my CC payment in cash. The bank in the USA (issuer of the CC) was kept fully informed of the entire process. The US bank was really helpful in this process. Wonder if I could have got the same help from a Dumaguete bank?
